Held every second year since 1979, ODMA Fair will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2017 with the most comprehensive and dynamic conference offering since its inception almost 40 years ago.
Taking place from July 7th – 9th at the new International Convention Centre at Darling Harbour in Sydney, ODMA17 will host an array of new interactive features, major networking events and strong educational content, including revamped masterclasses and spotlight seminars.
“ODMA17 is the most comprehensive exhibition of optical equipment, frames, sunglasses and lenses in the country. It is Australia’s key buying fair and the only one owned by the Australian optical industry.
Providing valuable constructive feedback via surveys, ODMA members have helped reshape and improve outcomes of participation in the industry fair.

Vision Summit
ODMA17’s Vision Summit takes place on Friday, July 7th featuring the most exciting line up of acclaimed international speakers in ODMA Fair Conference history.
Headlined by UK Professor and inventor of the revolutionary excimer laser, John Marshall, the Vision Summit is designed to deliver the latest developments in eyecare with a focus on quality.
Joining Professor Marshall on the program are other highly esteemed world leaders in their respective fields: Rolando Toyos, M.D. (USA); Professor Minas T. Coroneo, BSc (Med), MB BS, MSc Syd, MD, MS UNSW; Professor Fiona Stapleton; Professor Peter McCluskey; Professor Paul Mitchell and Associate Professor Chew Tec Juan Paul.

Masterclasses
In addition to the Vision Summit, ODMA17 will host educational Masterclass sessions, which will cover a mix of practical dispensing and the latest industry insights to help you improve your business strategy and function.
Masterclass speakers Elaine Grisdale (UK – Association of British Dispensing Opticians), Steve Daras (Tafe NSW – OTEN) and Dr Leigh Plowman (Optomly) will present the diverse and engaging program across the weekend.

Design Junction
A major feature of ODMA17, Design Junction will showcase a significant range of premium high end international and Australian eyewear brands with exhibitors presenting their design capabilities and the very latest in optical fashion and innovation.
Brands set to participate include: Tom Ford, Ermenegildo Zegna, Balenciaga, Roberto Cavalli and many more. Design Junction is also a key event platform for Frame Fashion Week 2017.
