Establishing itself firmly as a major expo for international sourcing of apparel, accessories, textiles, footwear and leather, this year’s International Sourcing Expo Australia and co-located Footwear & Leather Show saw a 4% increase in attendance of trade visitors and the largest and most comprehensive exhibitor participation from across North and South East Asia, the Indian sub-continent, the Middle East and Africa in the events history. The two events combine with China Clothing Textiles Accessories Expo to provide an established international business hub for global sourcing.
Over 3 days (14-16 November) at the ICC Sydney, International Sourcing Expo Australia provided a dynamic platform for international procurement and networking. Australian and New Zealand trade buyers met face to face with 600+ exhibitors over the 3 co-located shows boasting representation from India, China, Pakistan, Bangladesh, South Africa, Turkey, Fiji, Mauritius, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Australia, Malaysia and Vietnam.
The comprehensive International Seminar Series was well attended with many sessions booked to capacity. Visitors heard from Australian and globally recognised industry leaders discussing a wide range of topics from ethical sourcing and tips for fashion start-ups to protecting your business and navigating the Chinese supplier landscape.
International Sourcing Expo Australia was proud to partner with Council of Textile & Fashion, the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) and Australian Retailers Association.
The event was boosted by a strong representation from Enterprise Mauritius and Council for Leather Exports India, both in their second participation at the event, and first-time participation from Taiwan Textile Federation, Pro Chile and South Africa Footwear and Leather Export Council. Discussions already underway with existing and new international partners augurs well for the 2018 event in Melbourne.
The next International Sourcing Expo will be held 20 – 22 November 2018 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
