Inaugural Fashion Exposed NOW resonates with new generation of buyer

Providing a unique business platform for domestic and international brands to connect with retailers from across Australia and New Zealand, the inaugural Fashion Exposed NOW was held last weekend (26 + 27 August) at the iconic Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne.

Over 200 established and emerging brands showcased their SS17 and AW18 collections, eliciting buyer excitement for the year ahead.

“From Alexandra King and Archer & Paige to Zaxy and Zephyr Lounge Wear, we received terrific feedback on the look of the show and the diversity and quality of brands in attendance,” said Marie Kinsella, Director of Fashion Exposed NOW.

An addition to the show floor was a special Buyers Edit feature, which showcased a curated collection of two dozen high-end brands from Australia and Europe; Melbourne made brand Mhoo Mhoo was joined by the likes of Scandinavian labels Coster Copenhagen and Beck Sondergaard.

A range of free business workshops also took place on sustainable fashion, social media, technology, consumer behaviour and marketing, bringing together some of the best and brightest industry experts to share their invaluable experience and insights with visitors.

The Council of Textile & Fashion also collaborated with the event, hand picking and displaying a selection of Australia’s most promising labels on the show floor: Cloth & Co., Elvie & Leo, Iole Lingerie, Kaliopi Eleni, LOTT Studio, Minnow Zola, MAUDE Studio, NICO, REMUSE, Scott Benedictine, Siyona Couture, Tatyana Design and The Gently Unfurling Sneak.

Following the success of the Melbourne show, Fashion Exposed NOW will run again in Sydney on Saturday, 10 and Sunday, 11 February 2018 at the Royal Hall of Industries, Moore Park. The exhibitor offering will be expanded to include beach and body brands.
