EYEWEAR’S LONG RELATIONSHIP WITH FASHION CELEBRATED FOR THE FIRST TIME
Created to highlight the enduring relationship between fashion and the eyewear market, FRAME FASHION WEEK has launched and is set to revitalise the optical trade show landscape.
FRAME FASHION WEEK will take place over ten days, from July 1st – 10th, 2017, across multiple Sydney locations. A standalone, independent event, FRAME FASHION WEEK will comprise up to 10 different experiences including optical conferences, buying group conferences, retail window competition and an ‘Eyewear through the ages’ expo, under its ‘umbrella’.
Falling within the timing of the major industry fair, ODMA 2017, FRAME FASHION WEEK is proving to be a significant highlight and one that industry has been quick to support.
Ensuring both industry events connect for visitors, DESIGN JUNCTION held within the Premier Brands area of ODMA Fair, will be the showcase event of FRAME FASHION WEEK.
Presented by The Optical Distributors & Manufacturers Association (ODMA), ODMA Fair is Australia’s leading event for independent distributors and suppliers.
Commenting on the launch of FRAME FASHION WEEK, Chair of ODMA, Robert Sparkes, said: “Fashion has always been a huge part of the eyewear industry, and we are thrilled at the development of FRAME FASHION WEEK. The eyewear industry is projected to exceed USD165 billion by 2022* and we can only see this relationship with fashion growing. FRAME FASHION WEEK is a valuable addition to the industry visiting Sydney, ensuring this period in July is a must-attend for the optical industry.”
Being the inaugural Australian event, FRAME FASHION WEEK will predominantly have an industry focus in 2017. Moving forward however, it will evolve to incorporate the broader consumer market.
