As a major feature of ODMA17 (July 7-9, 2017) and a key event platform for Frame Fashion Week, Design Junction will showcase a significant range of high end international and Australian eyewear brands with exhibitors presenting their design capabilities and the very latest in optical fashion and innovation.
Fusing together fashion and functionality, leading optical distributors Jono Hennessy Group, Healy Optical, General Optical, Mondoticca, Pelure, Nine Eyewear and Frost Eyewear Distribution will display their premium brands on the show floor as part of Design Junction.

Excitingly, Jono Hennessy Group will also launch its limited edition Australian Botanical Collection at ODMA17, which is both designed and manufactured in Australia.
In addition, the company has broadened its horizons beyond the creation, manufacture and distribution of its flagship brands and will be showcasing collections from emerging international brands at Design Junction.
“Under the umbrella ‘Stars of Independents’, Jono Henessy Group now represents the Belgian brand Louis Belgium, German brand Adrian Marwitz, French brand Simple Eyewear and the Spanish brand Kaleos Eyehunters. This is in addition to its own Australian eyewear brands Jono Hennessy, Carter Bond and Zeffer,” said Louise Sceats, Managing Director at Jono Hennessy Group.
Also displaying new releases at Design Junction, Healy Optical will present new product models for the first time to the Australian market.
“Among others, the main brands we will be displaying with new releases at Design Junction are Tom Ford, Lafont and Guess,” said Grant Chick, National Sales Manager at Healy Optical.
“Tom Ford’s innovation and creative designs set the tone for an entirely new direction in fashion; Lafont frames invite their wearer to enter a special universe where the refined materials and atmospheres express the stylistic approach without hesitancy; Guess eyewear boasts innovative, original and fresh designs at an accessible price point.”
Like Jono Hennessy and Healy Optical, General Optical will premiere the newest offering from Etnia Barcelona at ODMA17.
“Visitors to ODMA17 have the opportunity to see the entire new release global collection from Etnia Barcelona, with over 200 new frames and sunglasses available over the weekend,” said Daniel Kennedy, Brand Manager at General Optical.
“Etnia Barcelona illustrates what happens when you combine a group of young designers with a passion for style and a yearning to create an eyewear collection that reflects their fashion forward spirit, personal style and above all else, individual expression.”
