Dear Colleagues
Following the great success of the first national convention #SAFETYSCAPE in May 2018 in Melbourne, the Workplace Health & Safety Show in May 2019 will provide a new kind of opportunity to connect with safety professionals from industries all over Australia.
#SAFETYSCAPE is part of our work to achieve our vision of safe and healthy workers in productive workplaces. We are building something special, bringing together all the players in the wider field– NGOs, Regulators, Associations, corporate providers, and the profession itself – once each year in a genuine national convention to provide a space for the whole Health and Safety community to share ideas.
The inaugural Workplace Health & Safety Show in May 2018 saw more than 2,300 Health and Safety decision makers from multiple sectors converge on the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre across two action packed days, and that’s just the beginning. #SAFETYSCAPE is unifying the industry here in Australia, and the trade show component, the Workplace Health and Safety Show is the one trade show in Australia that has our full support as a key event alongside our own National Conference.
Through our work at the heart of building the profession, we urge all Health and Safety people to attend the Workplace Health and Safety Show to see what’s coming out of a range of industries including manufacturing, building/construction, mining, councils/local government, hospitals, transport and more. Attendees include a high number of Health and Safety leaders who are already in attendance after joining me at our special HSE leader’s forum and our own national conference, and we are drawing increasing crowds because of the variety and innovation in presentations and events.
For suppliers and manufacturers, this is your chance to get in front of decision makers and officials looking to compare, buy and keep abreast of the latest technology, services and products to improve workplace safety standards in Australia. Due to demand the event will next be held in Sydney at the International Convention Centre, Tuesday 22 & Wednesday 23 May, 2019.
I invite you to join us all under one roof, to build something which in the years to come will grow, where the whole will be greater than the sum of its parts, full of new energy and ideas.
